Betta Edu has announced the date for the commencement of the Npower Beneficiaries Payment.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betta Edu has announceed the date that Npower beneficiaries’ payment will resume.
This Nigeria news platform understands that Betta Edu stated that the payment of Npower beneficiaries will commence in January 2024.
The Minister stated this information in the latest interview where she discussed the issues regarding the Npower programme. Before this update, she revealed the reasons behind unpaid N-Power batch C beneficiaries’ stipends.
According to the Minister, the records of the enrolled Npower beneficiaries are under review because the people who were enrolled are more than what is expected. As a result of that, thorough verification is being conducted to clean unqualified beneficiaries from the system before payment commences in January 2024.
The verification and cleaning of unqualified Npower beneficiaries will continue till December 2023, Dr. Betta Edu stated.
Recall that the new management of the Npower programme is rejiggering the Npower programme and they have changed the program name from Npower to Hope Skills Acquisition Programme.
By January 2024, New beneficiaries will be enrolled under the new Npower programme now non as Hope Skills Acquisition Programme. However, as the Minister states, backlog payment of verified exited Npower batch C2 beneficiaries will be cleared.
