
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that armed men on Wednesday abducted and fatally shot Alhaji Bako Bala, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suru Local Government Area, Kebbi State.
Reports reveal that Bala was kidnapped in his hometown, where he was later found seriously injured.
He was promptly transported to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi, but die due to severe injuries later that day.
He has been buried according to Islamic rites.
In April, gunmen suspected to be bandits killed two persons, including Saidu Basa, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Mai Dabino community in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The deceased was attacked by gunmen while returning from a stakeholders meeting of the APC in Danmusa.
Basa had reportedly given a lift to a passenger who was going to the market at Mai Dabino community.
Both men were buried according to Islamic rites.
