
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Super Eagles star, Ademola Lookman, has officially submitted a transfer request to his club, Atalanta, amid growing tensions over blocked transfer negotiations.
According to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Lookman is said to be furious with the Serie A side for turning down multiple offers from Inter Milan and has now decided to take matters into his own hands.
Romano confirmed the development via his X account on Sunday, stating:
“EXCL: Ademola Lookman has now handed in a transfer request.
The Nigerian forward has officially asked Atalanta to leave the club after Italian side rejected Inter’s opening bid.
Lookman wants to join Inter.”
The 26-year-old had an impressive season with Atalanta, attracting strong interest from top clubs across Europe, with Inter Milan reportedly leading the race for his signature.
