Betta Edu has warned against the fake Trust Fund Portal in circulation.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, wishes to inform the general public that a circulating portal “FG Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Trust Fund Portal” did not emanate from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The said portal is fake, created by undesirable elements with the sole intention of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.

The minister said there will never be a portal from either the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation or any other ministries departments or agencies of government or its partners to apply for or access funds from the Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Trust Fund.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday approved the establishment of a humanitarian and poverty alleviation trust fund as part of the administration’s efforts to cushion the economic hardship on vulnerable Nigerians.

The general public is, therefore, advised to discount the circulating link to the alleged portal as it is a creation of fraudsters.
