Apply For Nigeria Police Recruitment 2025 – npfapplication.psc.gov.ng

Recruitment Portal has opened as PSC and NPF begun the enlistment of 50,000 Police Constables and Specialists.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially opened its recruitment portal for candidates seeking to join the Force as Police Constables or Specialist personnel.

The nationwide recruitment drive follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to enlist 50,000 new officers to strengthen internal security, enhance community policing, and bolster manpower in the fight against rising crime.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Eligibility Check

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens by birth

  • Be physically, mentally, and medically fit

  • Be free from financial embarrassment

  • Possess good character and have no criminal record

  • Not be pregnant (for female applicants)

Age Requirements:

  • General Duty: 18–25 years

  • Specialists: Up to 28 years

Height Requirements:

  • Men: Minimum 1.67m, chest 86cm

  • Women: Minimum 1.64m

Step 2: Confirm Your Qualifications

General Duty Applicants:

  • Minimum of five credits in SSCE/NECO (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics

Specialist Applicants:

  • Minimum of four credits including English and Mathematics

  • At least three years of relevant experience

  • Valid Trade Test Certificates

Step 3: Prepare Your Documents

Upload clear scanned copies of:

  • First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)

  • SSCE/NECO certificate

  • Birth certificate

  • Certificate of state/LGA of origin

Specialist applicants must also upload:

  • Trade Test Certificates

  • Driver’s licence (for driver roles)

Transport:

  • Drivers, Mechanics, Auto-electricians, Dispatch Riders

EOD–CBRN:

  • Forensic Assistants, General Operatives

K9:

  • Dog Handlers

Mounted Troops:

  • Horse Riders

Marine:

  • Deckhands, Divers, Engineers, Boat Mechanics

Artisans:

  • Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, AC/Refrigeration Technicians

Tailoring:

  • Tailors

Communications & IT:

  • Technicians, Operators

Band Section:

  • Musical Instrument Specialists

Step 6: Screening and Verification

Shortlisted candidates will undergo:

  • Physical and medical examinations

  • Aptitude tests

  • Background and character checks
