NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Ingryd Scholarship Program (ISP) serves as a transformative initiative established with the primary aim of cultivating mid-level technological talent. Offering training in Java, Linux, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, this initiative aims to train an astounding 4,000 individuals every year. What’s even more compelling is the programme’s commitment to secure employment for its participants post-training.
To accomplish its visionary goal, Ingryd has entered into a strategic partnership with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF). This synergistic alliance epitomises the combined commitment of both organisations to fortify the future of technological talent in Africa. The union is designed to establish an ecosystem where innovative ideas flourish, tech careers grow exponentially, and the continent’s technological potential is harnessed to its fullest extent.
Commencing this October, the ISP will enrol its first cohort, comprising 1,000 promising participants. Over the succeeding 12 months, the program will induct three more cohorts. This staggered educational model has been developed to ensure that each participant enjoys a comprehensive and beneficial learning experience.
Participants have the luxury to choose from an array of courses that the Ingryd Scholarship Program provides:
One of the unique attributes of the ISP is its six-month curriculum, which includes a three-month paid internship. This feature enables participants to employ their freshly-minted skills in real-world scenarios, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
