Newsonline reports that Tinubu said the commission is yet to convince Nigerians over the Voters Accreditation System, BVAs.

The former Governor of Lagos State stated this on Monday while speaking at Chatham House.

He said: “We are still building confidence in our democratic and voting system.

“INEC is yet to assure us that during this election electronic transmission, the technology to be used for accreditation and the total votes count is reliable, dependable and assuring in our democratic process before we introduce a complicated element of ballot counting.”

Last month during the meeting with a pre-election delegation of the Commonwealth Election Observation Mission in Abuja, APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, also expressed his concerns.

“Our concern is how ready we are to deploy some of these technologies as regards transmission, because we’re taking a major step in transmitting election results in real time,” Adamu said.
