Newsonline reports that the two-term former governor of Osun State was also accused of mobilizing his supporters to ensure that Tinubu loses the 2023 presidential election.
The All Progressive Congress, APC, had lost Osun State on July 16 to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after the governorship candidate, the incumbent governor, Oyetola lost to Senator Adeleke.
During the campaign and election, the APC national leader, Aregbesola, was out of the state and country.
Osun State Chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, also accused the former governor of trying to destroy the party before the 2023 general election.
APC Youth Leader in Osun State, Goke Akinwemimo, who addressed newsmen in Osogbo, the State capital on Wednesday, stated that the national leader of the ruling party that the Minister is no longer with the APC.
Akinwemimo, however, stated that the state party leadership and the youth wing are putting measures in place to ensure that the plan of Aregbesola and his supporters are flawed.
The Youth Leader said the party is raising the alarm for the national leadership to take action against Aregbesola.
Goke said, “We are saying these to alert the national leadership of our dear party that Aregbesola and his allies are no more with APC.
“Apart from the fact that their previous actions have shown that they are working for the opposition, they are equally determined to ensure that we lose other future elections, including the presidential election.
“They are out to spell doom for our party. But we are prepared to resist them and they will not succeed”.
