Wike Camp Labels Bala Mohammed, Makinde, Damagum, Others as “Impostors,” Says They Are No Longer PDP Members

the individuals had been removed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) on November 18, 2025, over alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

Wike Camp has labelled Bala Mohammed, Makinde, and Damagum among others as “Impostors,” says they are no longer PDP Members.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared several prominent party figures including Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and former Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum as impostors who no longer belong to the party.

In a statement issued by the PDP National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, the Wike-led bloc warned the public against engaging with those who organised the controversial National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, insisting that they have been officially expelled.

According to the statement, the individuals had been removed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) on November 18, 2025, over alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

The expelled members listed include Bala Mohammed, Dauda Lawal, Seyi Makinde, Emmanuel Udom, Adolphus Wabara, Taofeek Arapaja, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Ben N. Obi, Bode George, Okechukwu Obiechina, Emmanuel Ogiad, Emmanuel Ebiden, Sumaita Adamu Bunza, Koshoedo Setonji, Suleiman Kadade Mohammed, Daniel Woyengikuro, Umar Iliya Damagun, and Umar Sani.

“The general public should note that these individuals were duly expelled in line with the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended),” the statement said. “They are falsely parading themselves as members and officers of the party. Anyone who accords them recognition does so at their own peril.”

The faction further dismissed the Ibadan convention as an illegal gathering that failed to comply with court rulings.

“The purported convention in Ibadan was a charade and mere social event with no legal standing. Anyone claiming to be an elected national officer from that exercise is an impostor,” the statement added.

The Wike faction stressed that the PDP has not yet held its legitimate National Convention.
