VeryDarkMan has sparked controversy with scathing diss track Targeting Gov. Okpebholo, Portable, and Prophet Fufeyin.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that controversial social media personality and activist, VeryDarkMan, has ignited a new wave of online debate with the release of a provocative diss track that calls out several high-profile figures, including Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, street-hop artist Portable, and popular televangelist Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

In the track, VeryDarkMan ridicules Governor Okpebholo’s alleged West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result, which reportedly revealed poor academic performance. He criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for clearing the governor to contest the election despite the academic shortcomings.

“E8, WAEC result of a governor. INEC, shame on you,” he rapped in one of the most talked-about lines from the track.

The diss also reignited his ongoing feud with controversial singer Portable, referencing a past scandal involving an alleged tricycle theft which reportedly led to the artist being beaten and briefly detained. Without mincing words, VeryDarkMan painted Portable as a figure of ridicule.

Religious leader Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin was not spared either. The diss track took jabs at his “miracle water” and other spiritual merchandise, accusing him of preying on the desperation of his followers.

The track has quickly gained traction online, splitting audiences. While some hailed VeryDarkMan for his audacity and lyrical delivery, others criticized him for what they see as crossing moral and ethical lines.

Here are a few reactions from social media:

  • @jack_sonsucess: “What a jam.”

  • @holamydexloj: “VDM na werey.”

  • @iamcozzdee: “I love this level of pettiness.”

  • @villagetapper: “Portable wey no get shame will still come for him. He should know there are rumors he’s into men allegedly.”

  • @otomealex: “Deeone sef collect last part.”

  • @jaynation: “VDM, may God protect you for us.”

The diss track, accompanied by a gritty visual release, continues to trend across platforms as fans and critics debate its boundaries and boldness.
