President Tinubu
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has nominated the immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, as a non-career ambassador.
Also on the new list are former senator Ita Enang; ex–Imo First Lady, Chioma Ohakim; and former Minister of Interior and retired Chief of Army Staff, Abdulrahman Dambazau, all selected to serve as non-career ambassadors.
The announcement comes barely a week after Tinubu forwarded another batch of nominees to the Senate, including Reno Omokri, former INEC Chairman Mahmoud Yakubu, and several others, for ambassadorial consideration.
The latest list has already sparked criticism from various quarters, with observers questioning the selection pattern and political implications of the appointments.
