The announcement comes barely a week after Tinubu forwarded another batch of nominees to the Senate, including Reno Omokri, former INEC Chairman Mahmoud Yakubu, and several others, for ambassadorial consideration.

The latest list has already sparked criticism from various quarters, with observers questioning the selection pattern and political implications of the appointments.
