Ondo Residents have protested against the nomination of Kolade Victor Akinjo into the NDDC Board by President Bola Tinubu.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that there has been a massive protest against the nomination of Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo as the ONDO State Representative on the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The ruling party loyalists vehemently expressed their displeasure on this development stating that Hon. Akinjo till this moment is yet to defect to the APC. They expressed their views on how Hon. Akinjo worked assiduously against this government before and during the general elections.

In a statement released by the State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Alex Kalejaye, he confirmed that the state excos had a meeting which was presided over by The State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin. The following statement was issued at the end of the meeting.

“We concede to Mr. President the right to appoint any qualified Nigerian to any office, having given him the popular mandate to preside over our affairs.

We only wish to remind Your Excellency that Mr. Kolade Victor Akinjo was the House of Representatives candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the presidential election, having served two terms on the platform of the opposition party.

“It is equally pertinent to avail that while Mr. President’s desire to instill an all-inclusive governance for the good of the people, we doubt if anyone who worked assiduously for his party, the PDP, as well as his presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku on the potency of anti-APC sloganeering, fits better than our teeming members for the plum job.”

The above video says it all! It is clear for everyone to see the malicious passion Mr. Akinjo has for the APC as a party, its leaders and His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The party stalwarts are appealing to the Presidency to rethink its decision and not allow a few people with their selfish interest direct the party to a point of anarchy and discord.

While affirming their loyalty to the President, they equally appealed to him to look into the reward system of the party as if left unattended could have an adverse effect on the forthcoming general elections in Ondo State.

They also urged the presidency to beam its searchlight into the APC as there are many eminently more qualified candidates that represent the will of the people.
