NABTEB has released 2025 Nov/Dec NBC, NTC and Advanced Certificate Results.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2025 November/December National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC) and Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) examinations.

The release was announced on Monday by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr Aminu Mohammed, at the board’s headquarters in Benin City, 64 days after the final examination paper was written.

Dr Mohammed disclosed that about 60 per cent of candidates who sat for the examinations recorded five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

According to him, a total of 61,591 candidates registered nationwide, comprising 57,444 ordinary level candidates and 4,147 advanced level candidates. He noted that this represents a 28.42 per cent increase in enrolment compared to the 2024 examinations.

The registrar added that the examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres across the country, reflecting a 13.92 per cent increase in the number of centres. He said the expansion indicates growing confidence in NABTEB examinations within the technical and vocational education sector.

Mohammed said candidate performance varied across trade categories, with Construction Trades recording a 79.32 per cent pass rate, Engineering Trades 76.84 per cent, Miscellaneous Trades 77 per cent, and Business Trades 52.07 per cent.

He explained that overall, 57.32 per cent of candidates were certified as craftsmen, while 56.52 per cent qualified as master craftsmen. He further revealed that 54,009 candidates, representing 94.74 per cent, obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.

On examination malpractice, the NABTEB boss said 259 candidates, representing 0.42 per cent, were involved in malpractice cases, a slight reduction from the 0.53 per cent recorded in 2024. He attributed the decline to strengthened monitoring and improved collaboration with security agencies.

NABTEB conducts technical and vocational examinations leading to the award of NBC, NTC, ANBC and ANTC certificates.

Meanwhile, the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Technical Colleges is scheduled to hold nationwide on June 6, 2026. Registration for the examination commenced on January 26, 2026, with applications to be completed via the official NABTEB online portal.

The board also reported a sharp rise in participation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) entrance examinations, with candidate numbers increasing by nearly 300 per cent—from about 7,500 in 2024 to approximately 30,000 in 2025.
