NABTEB Launches Digital Certificate Platform

NABTEB’s registrar/chief executive officer also admonished the candidates worldwide to take advantage of digital platforms, to pick their certificates.

NABTEB has launched a digital certificate platform.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, on Monday, July 29, launched a digital certificate platform, to make life much easier for the board’s stakeholders.

This Nigeria news platform understands that Isiugo-Abanihe, in her welcome address at the kick-off of NABTEB’s Digital Certificate Platform (NDCAP) at the board’s national headquarters at Ikpoba Hill, Benin, Edo state, described the launch as a proud moment for the board, which she said had stepped up in its offerings to the Nigerian public.

NABTEB’s registrar/chief executive officer stated that the accomplishment was one of the major functions for which the board was established, which, according to her, was to award certificates for the examinations it was mandated to conduct.

She said: “One of the major needs of the critical stakeholders, which the board has been striving to meet, even before my tenure, has been that of clearing outstanding certificates. It is interesting to note that this problem will soon become a thing of the past, as candidates located anywhere in the world can go to the Internet, and have access to their certificates, by visiting the NDCAP.

“Employers of labour, and tertiary education institutions now have easy access to verify the authenticity of certificates presented by their employees or applicants. This idea to develop a digital certificate platform, which was birthed under my leadership, will, by the grace of God, make life much easier to all concerned stakeholders of NABTEB in Nigeria and the Diaspora.

“The NABTEB digital certificate platform is a technologically-enforced platform that makes it easy and faster for candidates to get access to their certificates through web devices, including mobile phones. It allows candidates to make requests, make payments, and, thereafter, generate and download their certificates. This will undeniably go a long way to eliminate the problem of having a backlog of outstanding certificates.”

Isiugo-Abanihe also gave an assurance that hard copies of the certificates would quickly and easily be available, which her leadership also accomplished.

She said: “One of the mandates of NABTEB is to conduct examinations, leading to the award of certificates, including the Ordinary Level certificates — that is: the National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC); the Advanced Level Certificates, consisting of the Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC), and the Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC).”

NABTEB’s registrar/chief executive officer also admonished the candidates worldwide to take advantage of digital platforms, to pick their certificates.
