To rival Google Adsense, Microsoft has launched pubCenter, a Content Monetization Platform for Online Publishers.
Newsonline Nigeria reports that Microsoft has launched its Advertising platform where publishers can monetize their website with Microsoft high-quality, relevant ads. just like the Google Adsense platform.
This Nigeria news platform understands that pubCenter is a competitor of Google AdSense.
AdSense is a free Google program that allows website publishers to earn money by displaying ads on their websites. Advertisers pay Google to display their ads on AdSense publisher websites, and Google shares a portion of that revenue with the publishers.
The new Microsoft pubCenter is currently in pilot release in the United States, with global availability planned for the coming months.
Microsoft pubCenter is a code-on-page ad solution that makes it easy for businesses to get started with programmatic advertising. Businesses need to sign up for an account and place a single piece of code on their website. Microsoft pubCenter will then serve ads from the Microsoft Advertising Network, which includes advertisers from both Microsoft Invest (ex-Xandr/AppNexus) and the Microsoft Advertising Platform.
Small publishers often report difficulty to join AdSense. There are a number of reasons why publishers might get disapproved for AdSense:
Some examples of content or practices that can lead to AdSense disapproval:
How much does Microsoft pay for my traffic: The price paid by advertisers is set by a real time auction, so the highest bid wins. The more your audience engages with ads on your page, the more you’ll be able to earn from those ads.
What’s the minimum traffic you need to serve ads: No minimum traffic is required on your site for you to serve ads.
How to Sign up:
Currently, application is only open for US publishers. US publishers can sign up via this link https://about.ads.microsoft.com/en-us/h/a/publishers
Publishers outside the United States can Sign up Here to reserve a spot once international support becomes available.
If you are already placing ads on your site, Microsoft will only serve its ads if they predict a higher payment compared to other platforms.
