JUST IN: CBN Discloses Security Features Of New Naira Notes

The CBN has released details and the position of the security features in the new naira notes.

 

Newsonline reports that this Follows the release and circulation of fake naira notes in the economy days after the release of newly redesigned naira notes, by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

Also: Banks Staff Instructed To Write Down Serial Number Of New Naira Notes During Withdrawal

Recall that the CBN on December 15 released the newly redesigned naira notes to Deposite Money banks for circulation into the economy. The new naira notes are already being counterfeited, four days after they were rolled out to the public.

This will aid to protect Nigerians from falling victim to counterfeiters.

 

Details and positions of the security features are highlighted in the documents below as released by the CBN.
