NewsOnline Nigeria reports that no fewer than 260,000 candidates sat for the 2024 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination across 793 Computer-Based Test centres across the country on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
This Nigeria news platform understands that this was revealed by JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, after monitoring some of the centres in Abuja.
Oloyede, who expressed delight over the seamless conduct of the exercise nationwide, said the exam was to test the preparedness for the main UTME, which will commence on Friday, 19th April 2024.
The JAMB Registrar revealed that the exam body also successfully conducted a recruitment examination for Nigerian Police on Wednesday, adding that the only few incidents recorded in the Mock UTME in about four centres would be resolved.
“So far so good, we are doing mock after mock, just yesterday we conducted recruitment for the Police Service Commission throughout the country, that was a mock before today’s mock and that was in 411 centres across the country, and today we are conducting our own mock in 793 centres across the country.
“So far, we have about three or four places where they have one issue or the other, but we are trying to get over that. So, it is a good one, even those three (where there are issues), we will have a way of accommodating them even if they go down completely. But everything is going on well and the reports we have, are that we are very okay,” he said.
Start by visiting the official JAMB Mock result portal at https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTMEMockResults
Once on the portal, you’ll be prompted to input your JAMB registration number. Ensure that you have this number handy as it’s required for verification.
After entering your registration number, click on the designated button to check your mock result.
Your UTME Mock Result should now appear on the screen. Take note of your scores in each subject area to assess your performance.
Please, note that the JAMB mock result serves as a valuable benchmark to guide your preparation for the main UTME scheduled to commence on April 19th, 2024. So it does not count if you pass or fail the mock exams. The examination that matters is the one starting on the 19th of April.
Also, if you encounter a message stating, “You did not sit for Mock Examination” don’t fret. Simply wait for a while and recheck the portal later if you are sure you took the JAMB 2024 mock exams. That is it about how to check your 2024 JAMB mock exam results.
