ANAP Poll: Peterside Swayed Result To Favour Peter Obi- Atiku PCC

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said he will make Benue state as viable as Israel if elected in 2023 election.

Newsonline reports that Peter Obi promised that as president in 2023, he will ensure Nigeria works for every citizen, including youths and women.

The Labour Party presidential candidate said the popular belief that Benue is a civil servant state is wrong, stating that a state that has more land, very arable like Benue more than Israel will be turned into wealth when voted into power.

The youths’ choice presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 election stated this on Wednesday, at IBB Square, in Makurdi, at the flag-off of his presidential campaign.

Peter Obi said, “We will secure Nigeria and bring peace to Benue, and we will ensure that Benue works. I know what is happening in Benue; somebody said Benue is a civil servant, but to me, Benue is one and a half times bigger than Israel, and we will make the state viable as Israel under my watch. We will make Benue create wealth because we want our youths to be self-reliant and our government will be for youths and women.”

The former governor of Anambra State said the way River Nile is productive to Egypt is the way he will turn River Benue to be productive to the economic development of Benue and Nigeria.

“The way River Nile is to Egypt is how Rivers Niger and Benue ought to be to Nigeria, so if we are given the mandate, we will dredge both Niger and Benue rivers,” Obi said.

He promised to be in charge if elected, while he asked Nigerians to hold responsible when elected to deliver on all promises he makes.

Obi said he would not a president who stays only in Abuja, but a listening president who will listen to the problems of the citizens.

He said, “What I want to say to Nigerians is that I want Nigerians to hold me responsible. Our government will not remain in Abuja; it will go to the states. I will listen to their problems.”

Speaking on how he intends to spread development across the country and create employment for youths and women, Peter Obi added, “Our youths must be productive in their youthful age! North should be leading the world in Agriculture, South-South Oil sector, South East Manufacturing, It’s not difficult, we have just been hiring people who don’t know anything.”

He thanked the people pf Benue for the “level of patriotism, commitment and warm embrace of our message is gratifying. There is hope for a new Nigeria. A national rebirth is POssible!”
