Newsonline Nigeria had earlier reported that the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has flagged off the verification of the National Social Register exercise across the country in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and the verification exercise will last for three weeks, according to the Minister.

In order to ascertain the real people who need to be supported in President Tinubu’s renewed hope for conditional cash transfer for the vulnerable people by the new management of the Ministry, HM Dr Betta Edu flagged off verification of persons captured on the register which was built by the last Administration.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the Humanitarian Ministry is taking the verification exercise to the doorsteps of those in the register across all the LGAs in Nigeria to verify them. If you have registered before, make sure you make yourself available when you are needed for verification.

 

While the verification is ongoing, NASSCO Nigeria, the office responsible for building the National Social Register raised an alarm warning the general public against Fraudsters’ activities, stating that fraudsters have created FAKE National Social Register “verification forms” online to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. Do not fill out any such forms join WhatsApp groups or share your personal information through text messages to persons claiming to work for NASSCO.
