Four teams have reached the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup quarter-finals, setting the stage for high-stakes matches ahead.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that at least four nations have successfully secured their places in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, hosted in Colombia. Among the teams advancing are the host nation Colombia, alongside the United States, Spain, and Brazil, all of whom delivered impressive performances to move forward in the competition.

These teams earned their spots following the conclusion of several intense Round of 16 fixtures, which took place on Wednesday and extended into the early hours of Thursday morning. With the competition heating up, fans are eager to see what the next stage holds for these top contenders.

Spain emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Canada, while Brazil advanced with a strong 3-1 triumph against Cameroon. Colombia also secured their spot in the quarter-finals by defeating South Korea 1-0, and the United States edged out Mexico in a thrilling 3-2 match.

As the competition continues, two more Round of 16 fixtures are set to be played later today. North Korea will go head-to-head with Austria, and Germany is set to take on Argentina, with both matches determining the final teams to join the quarter-final lineup.
