EPL: Merson Identifies Three Teams Capable of Winning the Title This Season

Merson assesses the leading contenders in the race for this season's Premier League crown

Paul Merson has named three teams he believes can win the Premier League title this season, highlighting their competitive form in the title race.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Arsenal legend Paul Merson has identified three teams he believes possess the “togetherness” needed to secure the Premier League title this season.

In his analysis of the recent 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Arsenal for Sky Sports, Merson stated that the result demonstrated the Gunners’ commitment to pursuing their first title in 21 years.

Merson also mentioned Liverpool, now managed by Arne Slot, as another team that could contend for the title.

He stated, “Arsenal possess a strong sense of togetherness, which is essential for winning leagues. They have that in abundance, and so does Manchester City.

“I believe Liverpool has it as well, but – and I don’t want to single out any one team – I don’t see that same unity at Manchester United, for example.

“That camaraderie is crucial for winning league trophies, and Arsenal is firmly in the running this season.”
