Court has fixed September 28 for judgement in the Machina vs Lawan case.

 

Newsonline reports that a Federal High Court sitting in Damaturu has fixed September 28 for judgement in a suit filed by the winner of the May 28th All Progressives Congress(APC) senatorial primary election of Yobe North, Bashir Sheriff Machina against APC, INEC and Senate President Dr. Ahmad Lawan.

 

This online newspaper understands that Justice Fatima Aminu on September 12th 2022 reserved judgement on the case after the defendants and plaintiff lawyers presented their arguments.

Newsonline Nigeria can authoritatively confirm that judgment in the case has been fixed for September 28, 2022.

One of the lawyers also confirmed the date in a text message.

Newsonline reports that Machina is asking the court to compel INEC to publish his name as the winner of the May 28 senatorial primary election for Yobe North and the APC to send his name as its candidate.
