Wike has dumped the PDP and joined the campaign council to help the APC win the Bayelsa poll.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike may have officially joined the All Progressive Congress (APC).

This is in relation to the campaign council list for the Bayelsa governorship election which surfaced on the internet a few minutes ago. In the list released by the APC, Nyesom Wike was included.

Although Wike was included in the campaign council list for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) too but it appears his loyalty lies with the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Nyesom Wike currently works for the APC government and will most likely work for the candidate of the APC to show loyalty. His decision to work for the APC may also be a result of the strained relationship he has with the incumbent governor of Bayelsa state, Duoye Diri in the last presidential election.
