BREAKING: Senate Confirms 21 Fresh Appointees By President Tinubu (FULL LIST)

Senate has confirmed the 21 fresh appointees by President Tinubu for RMAFC.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Senate has confirmed twenty- one nominees as Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC.

This Nigeria news platform understands that the confirmation was a sequel to the presentation and consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance for the Confirmation of the Nominations for Appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Presenting the report, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, PDP, Kebhi North said, “That the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance on the confirmation of the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).”

 

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had appointed 21 federal Commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, pending their confirmation by the Senate.

 

The former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale had in August 2024 revealed this in a statement he signed, just as the Senate had in September, 2024 referred the screening to the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance.

 

Those confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday as Federal Commissioners are Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross-River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu) and Kabir Mohammed Mashi (Katsina).

 

Others are Adamu Fanda (Kano), Professor Olusegun Kunle Wright (Lagos), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Samuel Durojaye (Ogun), Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara) and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).

 

In his remarks, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio who urged the new Commissioners to give their best in the job ahead of them, however, asked them to be good ambassadors of their states and the country.
