Security Operatives have arrested several #EndBadGovernance Protesters in Abuja.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that security operatives, on Monday, dispersed protesters in the Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This Nigeria news platform gathered that the protesters marching against bad governance in the country were just assembling when security agents went after them and arrested three.

One of the protesters who spoke with Punch, Yahaya Abdullahi, said the security agents fired teargas at them.

He said, “Our people were just coming out and the police and other security agents started tear-gassing us and arrested some of our people, we know of three for now.”

This development comes hours after one of the leaders of the ongoing #Endbadgovernance protests in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Micheal Lenin, was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to information obtained by NewsOnline Nigeria, Lenin was arrested around 2 am on Monday at his residence in the Apo area of the nation’s capital city by DSS operatives.

Confirming the development, the Director of Mobilisation, Take It Back Movement, Damilare Adenola, told Punch that Lenin’s house was raided by the DSS.

He alleged that the DSS also assaulted him during his arrest.

“Lenin has been arrested by the DSS. He was picked up during a raid on his house around 2am.

“He was arrested and tortured in the presence of his family. We are demanding his immediate and unconditional release,” Adenola said.
