NNPCL CEO Bayo Ojulari
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has alleged that his life and those of the company’s management staff are under serious threat.
Ojulari disclosed this on Thursday while receiving a delegation from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), led by its President, Comrade Festus Osifo, at the NNPCL headquarters in Abuja.
According to him, his “offense” was implementing far-reaching reforms in the oil and gas sector in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive to revive the country’s ailing refineries.
He further lamented that certain “powerful elements” are plotting to oust him from office due to the changes he has introduced.
The NNPCL boss, however, maintained that the reforms would continue despite resistance from vested interests.
