NJC has officially asked President Tinubu to appoint Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the National Judicial Council has nominated Justice Kudirat Motonmori Kekere-Ekun to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that the recommendation was made at its 106th Meeting presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola held on August 14 and 15.

Ariwoola will formally bow out of office on August 22.

 

The Council also recommended 27 candidates for appointment as judges of state courts and a candidate for appointment as Kadi of the Sharia Court of the FCT, Abuja to their various governors and Mr. President.
