Former Nigerian President, Ernest Shonekan is dead.

 

 

NewsOnline reports that Nigeria’s Former Head of the Interim National Government (INC), Chief Ernest Shonekan is dead.

 

Chief Ernest Shonekan, NewsOnline Nigeria gathered, died in Lagos at 85 according to reliable sources.

 

Shonekan was chairman of the INC, which succeeded the military junta of General Ibrahim Babangida.

 

He ruled from August 26 to November 17, 1993 until he was overthrown in a palace coup led by late General Sani Abacha who was Secretary of Defence.
