FG has finally removed Universities among other institutions from the IPPIS payment platform.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian government has finally removed universities and other state-owned tertiary institutions from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, IPPIS.

This was made known by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, OAGF.

Sequel to the Nigerian government’s directive to remove the institutions from the IPPIS payment platform.

The Director of Press and Public Relations at the OAGF, Bawa Mokwa, who announced the development, said that the shutdown of the IPPIS for the federal institutions was a natural response to the government’s decision.

“It was only natural for the IPPIS platform for FTIs to be shut down, given the Federal Government’s directive to remove these institutions from the system,” he said.

Mokwa noted that salaries for November would now be processed through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System, GIFMIS.

According to Mokwa: federal institutions have been instructed to prepare their payrolls in Excel format and submit them to IPPIS for verification.
