NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Margaret Dumbiri Emefiele, the wife of Godwin Emefiele, the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been declared wanted for financial crimes.
This Nigeria news platform gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared her, along with three others, wanted on Friday night. The other three are Eric Ocheme Odoh, Anita Joy Omoile and Jonathan Omoile.
According to a post shared on X, the four conspired with the ex-CBN governor to steal state funds.
The EFCC also revealed that they are wanted because they “committed felony to wit: Obtaining Money by False Pretences and Stealing contrary to and punishable under Sections 411, 287 and 314 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State”.
While Mrs Emefiele is the CEO of Dummies Oli & Gas Ltd., Anita is the CEO of Deepblue Energy Services Ltd. & Lipam Investment Services Ltd., and Jonathan is the CEO of Exact Quote BDC Limited.

This comes amid the ongoing trial of Godwin Emefiele, who is being prosecuted for charges bordering on fraud and illegal purchase of vehicles, among others.
He was suspended in June 2023, after which he was arrested, detained and charged in court.
