The Okoya brothers have been in the news for “abusing the naira” in a promotional video for a new song.

Their invitation comes after social media users condemned the detention of a police officer captured in a viral video in the viral.

The detention of only the officer, however, has continued to spark reactions on X.

According to netizens, the officer should not be the only one detained, with many saying that the sons of the billionaire tycoon should also be detained alongside the officer.

Reacting to the development, @Irrunia tweeted, “The sons of Chief Okoya abused money and they were not punished. It was the policeman standing on his own that was punished. Omo Davido was right. In this life, have money or you go suffer.”

“What about the Okoya sons that committed the offence? Tálákà ṣe agbako ni country yí,” @ExquisiteDemola tweeted.

@FredMorgan29671 wrote, “Arresting the police man and leaving those abusing the naira tell a lot about Nigeria. It’s well ire oo.”

@Tobijubril tweeted, “The policeman was arrested but you people did not see the Okoya sons spraying money, law is really for the poor in this country.”

“You detained the policeman because he is poor. Why don’t you arrest those guys?” @MaliqIfeoluwa tweeted.

@Mazimum_ wrote, “Funny how the focus is on the policeman, but the sons involved in the incident seem to be left out of the conversation. If we’re serious about accountability, shouldn’t everyone involved face scrutiny, regardless of their status?”
