BREAKING: EFCC Arraigns Godwin Emefiele On 26 Fresh Count Charges

EFCC has arraigned Godwin Emefiele on 26 fresh count charges.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Godwin Emefiele is currently at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos for his arraignment.

 

The embattled former governor of the apex bank is being prosecuted for allegedly abusing his office and allocating billions of dollars to himself.

Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Isioma Omole, are expected to be arraigned on 26 fresh counts before Justice Rahman Oshodi on Monday (today).

 

In the charge marked ID/23787c/2024 and dated April 3, 2024, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged that Emefiele abused his office between 2022 and 2023.
