BREAKING: Don’t Jail Me Until 4:30pm, Doyin Okupe Begs (Video)

Drama ensued after the conviction of the Director-General of Peter Obi and Datti Ahmad campaign organization, Doyin Okupe, as a video emerged where an appeal is being made for him not to be led into prison until 4:30 pm.

 

Newsonline reports that Doyin Okupe a former aide to former president Olusegun Obasanjo was convicted on Monday by a Federal High Court in Abuja for money laundering.

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Okupe in 2019 on a 59-count charge bordering on alleged money laundering and diversion of funds to the tune of N702 million.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu who ruled on the case convicted Doyin Okupe alongside two companies – Value Trust Investment Ltd and Abrahams Telecoms Ltd.

 

In a video making round on Twitter, the counsel to Peter Obi’s campaign DG could be seen on video along with Doyin appealing to security agencies to allow him sought himself out.

 

In the video, Doyin’s Counsel promised that if he is unable to sought himself out by 4:30 pm Monday (today) they should take him to prison.

 

“..please you people should just give him space, please don’t harass him, you have been able to calm down, I beg you in the name of God, allow him to sought out himself, by 4:30 if he cannot sought out then you can..,” Doyin’s counsel.
