
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has adjourned a suit challenging the proposed rally for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in Lagos.
Newsonline reports that Peter Obi, Labour Party and some other influencers are defendants in the suit.
The suit was heard by Justice Emeka Osiagor of the Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Justice Osiagor adjourned the hearing to 23rd September for further hearing.
Nigerian youths have been holding sensitization rallies for the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, who they see as the most competent among other major contenders, Atiku Abubakar, PDP, and Bola Tinubu, APC, for the 2023 general election.
Similar rallies have been held in Enugu, Onitsha, Ibadan, Afikpo, Nassarawa, Owerri, PortHarcourt, Uyo, and many other states of the federation.
The Lagos rally was slated to hold on 1st October, which is Nigeria’s independence day celebration.
