BREAKING: APC Blasts Wike Over Allegations Against Amaechi’s Wife In NDDC Audit Report

Wike had alleged that Judith Amaechi received ₦48 billion from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for a training programme for Niger Delta women, claiming she was shielded by former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

APC has blasted Wike over allegations against Amaechi’s Wife and dared him to publish NDDC Audit Report.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fired back at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over recent allegations he made against Dame Judith Amaechi, wife of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

This Nigeria news platform recalls that Wike had alleged that Judith Amaechi received ₦48 billion from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for a training programme for Niger Delta women, claiming she was shielded by former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

Responding in a statement, Darlington Nwauju, Publicity Secretary of the Rivers APC faction loyal to Amaechi, dismissed Wike’s claims as baseless and challenged him to push for the release of the NDDC audit report to support his allegations.

“We challenge Minister Wike to instigate the publication of the NDDC Audit Report for Nigerians to see and judge for themselves,” Nwauju stated.

He accused the FCT Minister of habitually dragging women and family members into political disputes, describing it as a reflection of his disrespect for family values and womanhood.

Nwauju said, “His recent claim that he would resign if the NDDC audit report does not indict Dame Judith Amaechi only exposes his lack of integrity and his obsession with political vendettas. Wike’s continuous personal attacks show a troubling pattern of diminishing the dignity of women, including his disregard for his own wife.”

The Rivers APC also accused Wike of politicizing the NDDC audit to consolidate control over the commission, alleging that he used his allies in the Rivers State House of Assembly to pursue personal political goals.

“These public hearings and relevant documents are archived in both chambers of the National Assembly. Let the audit report be made public, including the list of contracts and cash disbursements awarded to Wike and his allies during his time in power,” the statement added.

In a satirical swipe, Nwauju suggested that the national leadership of the APC should consider appointing Wike as the party’s spokesperson or even as the Director General of the 2027 Presidential Campaign “to measure his real popularity and determine if he is a moral liability to the APC.”

He concluded by urging Nigerians to focus on facts, not political theatrics, and emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the management of public institutions like the NDDC.
