Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu has come under heavy criticism over his recent comment amidst nationwide darkness and electricity price hike.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu has come under heavy criticism over his recent comment that Nigerians lack proper electricity consumption culture.

 

According to the Minister in a now-viral video, Nigerians leave their freezers on while going out to work because they pay little for electricity.

“We don’t have consumption management in this country. Some people leave their AC and freezers on for days because we are not paying enough for the power” – he said. Watch the Video Here.
This Nigeria news platform understands that his comment has since infuriated Nigerians who have taken to various social media platforms to call him out and demand his sack.
