APC has denied rumoured defection of Kwankwaso amid Ganduje’s exit.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed speculation surrounding the possible defection of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), to the ruling party.

Amid growing rumours that the former Kano State Governor may be considering a return to the APC following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman, the party has now clarified its position.

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said no such move is currently being discussed within the party.

“The party I speak for has said nothing about Kwankwaso possibly joining,” Morka stated when asked about the speculated political crossover.

“We have not made that determination and are not able to make it at the moment,” he added.

Addressing reports of alleged internal tensions within the party, Morka dismissed the claims, asserting that the APC remains stable and fully operational.

“The party is running as it should. People are entitled to have their moments, but that does not indicate dysfunction,” he said.

Kwankwaso, who served as governor of Kano State and is widely regarded as a key political figure in the North, contested the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the NNPP. His next political move continues to attract public and media interest.
