Adewale Adeniyi confirmed as Comptroller-General of Customs

Willie Bassey, Director, Information at Secretary to the Government of the Federation, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

President Bola Tinubu has confirmed Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of Customs.

 

Newsonline Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that Willie Bassey, Director, Information at Secretary to the Government of the Federation, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the appointment takes effect from 19th October 2023, and his tenure follows the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).

 

The President tasked the CG to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.

 

In June, President Bola Tinubu appointed Adeniyi as Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to replace former CG, Hammed Ali.
