Former governor of Anambra State, presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has congratulated Osun governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, stating that in the fullness of time his party’s message or rescue will be followed by all electorates.

Newsonline reports that Peter Obi stated this following his party candidate’s poor show at the Saturday Osun governorship election.

Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf, Labour Party, governorship candidate, a former Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, scored 2000 votes to clinch the fourth position in the concluded Osun governorship election.

Peter Obi in his congratulatory message stated that Nigerians will embrace his party’s message of rescuing the country’s economy and shifting the national psyche from consumption to production.

Peter Obi said, “I extend my warmest personal congratulations to Sen. Ademola Adeleke on winning the Osun State Gubernatorial elections.

“In the fullness of time, our message of rescue and recovery will resonate throughout the length and breadth of the Nation and most Nigerian electorate will buy in into our mission to take back Nigeria, for the purpose of rescuing it from continued decline, shift the National psyche from consumption to production and from sharing dwindling resources to creating wealth and frontally combating poverty.”

Peter Obi has become the most popularly accepted presidential candidate in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general election, among the candidates of All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

All Online polls conducted by Nigerian news media including Newsonline show Peter Obi leading at a high percentage.

Peter Obi’s campaign mantra of moving the country from consumption to production seems to resonate well in the minds of youths who make up over 60% of Nigeria’s population.

Across all social media platforms, youths of Nigeria seem to have taken over the campaign of Peter Obi more than that of Atiku of PDP and Tinubu of APC.
