NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi was named Man of the Match after leading his side to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Saudi Arabia.

Under Aliyu Zubairu’s guidance, Nigeria got their 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign back on track with the crucial win.

Bameyi sealed the triumph by converting a penalty deep into stoppage time.

The 19-year-old centre-back delivered an impressive performance in a tightly contested match.

Bameyi’s leadership stood out as he helped keep the opposition at bay, particularly during the second half.

Nigeria will take on Colombia in their final group stage match on Monday morning.
