Peter Obi, Supporters the Obidients has stated they will be embarking on a 100 Car Rally across the 36 States of Nigeria.

Supporters of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, popularly known as the Obidients, on Monday, stated that they will embark on a car rally with 100 cars across the 36 states of Nigeria.

Newsonline reports that the political group declared that it would begin the automobile convoy rally in Ebonyi State.

The Southeast Regional Coordinator of the Obi Datti Car-rally support group and its Ebonyi State Coordinator, Comrade Ozurumba Chimezie Jeff, disclosed this during a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki.

He revealed that the rally would be a 100km car drive and would be done on the 19th, 26th of November, and 3rd of December 2022, across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Jeff noted that the target was to get everyone involved in the mission to rescue Nigeria from bad governance.

He said, “The Obi-Datti car rally will be on an automobile convoy and not be on foot. This would create a hitch-free campaign, devoid of human traffic and congestion.”

Ozurumba explained, “This has become necessary because the event would be happening simultaneously across the 36 States in the country, the FCT, and southeast Nigeria.

“Obi-Datti Car-rally is dedicated to the Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti campaign organization, which is aimed at sensitizing and creating awareness for people to vote for Mr. Peter as the most qualified candidate to become the president of our great nation Nigeria come 2023.

“We believe in his proven capacity and credibility as a leader with a sound mind who possesses the required qualification to tackle the current challenges facing our nation. No doubt, these issues have made us to be going backwards instead of moving forward as a people.”

The coordinator said the press can relate well with them when they say that the security situation of Nigeria at the moment is nothing to write home about.

“You all know that our economy is visibly in shambles. The price of things has continued to go up, and people are hungry. No better business opportunities and no better employment opportunities. Our production level is nothing to write home about. We keep importing almost everything we consume and depend on other nations to survive. Our education system, health care, and innovation sectors are all deprived of competent and quality leadership, yet, we are the giant of Africa,” the Obidient coordinator for Ebonyi said.

‘Obidients’ euphoria already dying – Dino Melaye

Recall that the Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC),  Dino Melaye, on Saturday, said that Peter Obi can not win the election, saying the euphoria of his ‘Obidient’ supporters is already dying.

Melaye who made this assertion while addressing journalists in Abuja said, “By January, it will go down more, because people will realize that it is going to be a wasted vote, people will realize that he (Peter Obi) cannot become president, people will realize that voting for Peter is voting for Tinubu, so that is why I’m having a clarion call on Peter Obi, gentleman, progressive-minded, sound, to in the interest of this country for his tomorrow, he should give his today and come back home to support his elder brother and mentor,” he said.

The Atiku campaign spokesperson urged Obi to return to the PDP.

He said a vote for Obi in February is a vote for the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, “because Obi does not have what it takes to win the election”.

Melaye asked Obi to work for the emergence of Atiku Abubakar because “Nigerians cannot afford another four years an APC administration that will “continue with insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, rise in the price of goods and commodities in this country.”
