The Independent National Electoral Commission has warned the ruling parties, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the states against attacks on opposition parties in the campaigns for the 2023 election.
Newsonline reports that INEC also declared as worrisome the denying of public facilities by state governors to opposition parties in their states.
This was the position of INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, on Tuesday at the Training of Master Trainers on Technologies for the 2023 General Election.
“Also, there are denials of access to public facilities for parties and candidates in some states of the federation.
“Let me caution parties and supporters to focus on issues and stay clear of attacks on each others.”
Attacks have characterized the 2022 campaigns which started on 28th September for the 2023 election from Kaduna to Ebonyi to Lagos.
