The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the vice-presidential Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa have expressed satisfaction with the defection of Ibrahim Shekarau back to the PDP ahead of the 2023 election.

Newsonline reports that Atiku said the comeback of Shekarau has made the PDP family grow bigger, stating that the former Kano State governor would surely bring wealth of experience to the success of the 2023 election.

Atiku added that Shekarau will boost the chances of the PDP to oust the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano and the general election.

He said, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family grew bigger today with the return of H.E Ibrahim Shekarau to our party.
