Ukachukwu Vows To Deal With Wike Mercilessly Over Properties Demolition In FCT

Ukachukwu has vowed to deal with Wike mercilessly over his property’s demolitions in FCT.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Abuja Property developer, Chief Linus Ukachukwu, has vowed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will pay for all his (Ukachukwu’s) properties demolished in the Asokoro District in Abuja even after he leaves office.

The estate developer, who reiterated his earlier allegation that Wike demolished his properties because he is an Igbo man, added that besides the ethnic motivation, the minister wanted to take the land for himself.

Ukachukwu had earlier lamented the demolition of his property on 214 hectares of land in the Asokoro District of Abuja, accusing Wike of ordering the demolition without any court order despite the fact that he (Ukachukwu) had two separate court orders restraining the minister from taking that action.

The Anambra-born developer urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene and save the multi-billion-naira investment, noting that his company did not violate any law in the acquisition and development of the property.

However, while addressing newsmen on the issue, Wike disclosed that the land in question was fraudulently allocated without ministerial approval as the allocation was done when there was no minister, noting there was no court order restraining the ministry from entering the property.

For bringing an ethnic slant into the issue, Wike described the developer as an “ethnic jingoist”.

But Ukachukwu in an interview with journalists insisted that he had he presented his documents to Wike at a meeting and the minister said there was no issue, assuring that since there was a court judgment on it, there was nothing he could do.

The developer continued, Ukachukwu claimed that his immediate younger brother, who is also part of this business, had represented Abuja in the House of Representatives, wondering why Wike would refer to him as an Igbo man.

He further insinuated that the minister’s real intention is to take the land for himself. Making that allegation, he said, “It is not the issue of dispute; it is the issue that Wike is interested in the land and he wants to use proxy to take the land from the back door. Quote me anywhere, I’m ready to defend whatever I have said.

“He said it. If not, how could he say, ‘How can all this land be given to Igbo man?’ What is the meaning? If Igbo man is not qualified to get it, that means he wants to take it.”

The developer then vowed to recover even kobo lost to the demolition from the government and the minister, insisting that if the government fails to pay everything before Wike leaves office, the minister will be made to pay whatever is left even after he leaves office.

He said, “The single kobo that was damaged over this property will be paid by the government including Wike. Anyone that we could not collect before the tenure ends, Wike will pay it even after the tenure.

“It is better that he packages and makes sure that everything is paid before he leaves.”
