1. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, yesterday told the opposition parties to stop complaining about the 2023 presidential election and accept defeat, describing claims that the elections were rigged as “fraudulent”.
2. The Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, Safiu Olaniyan, has decried the glitches in the efforts to evacuate Nigerians, including students, trapped in Sudan amid the ongoing insurrection in the country. He lamented that Nigerian students have been left stranded on Sudan streets.
3. The corpse of a yet-to-be-identified man has been found dangling on a rope tied to a tree at the NEPA Junction in Agboroko community, Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State. It was gathered that one of the workers at a mechanic shop close to the scene of the incident found the corpse when he resumed work in the morning.
4. The ruling All Progressives Congress on Sunday night distanced itself from the purported sack of APC South-South Zonal Chairman, Chief Victor Giadom and Secretary, Ita Udosen, describing the action as unlawful and unconstitutional.

8. More than 500 Nigerian students being evacuated from Khartoum, the capital of war-torn Sudan, to Egypt have been stranded on the northern and western borders of the two countries. 9. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested two suspects for concealing cannabis in a bag of garri. The suspects, Kabiru Muhammed and Isah Muhammed were said to have been arrested along Zaria-Kano Road, Kano at the weekend.
10. The Federal Government is reportedly set to proceed with its implementation of a five per cent excise duty tax on mobile telephone and Internet services. This is despite a recent communication by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, that the government has exempted the telecoms sector from excise duty tax.
