PDP Calls INEC To Remove Tinubu's Name As Candidate Over Heroin Case

The presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has said APC presidential candidate, Tinubu will not survive after 2023 election defeat.

While speaking at the inauguration event which was led by the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, but was represented by former National Youth Leader, Mohammed Maibasira, Atiku said APC and Tinubu cannot survive beyond 2023 election after losing to the PDP.

Atiku said, “To be honest, PDP is the only political party in the country, APC is not a political party, it is an alliance between the CPC and Tinubu’s party, and we have seen how alliances in this country have disappeared overnight, I don’t think APC would survive after this election, we are going to vote them out come 2023.

The former vice president added that Tinubu and the APC should not be allowed access to the presidential villa, according to him, Tinubu and his party have not contributed to the development of democracy in the country.

The PDP presidential candidate said his party PDP and himself fought for the democracy which the country enjoins today.

“This democracy we have in Nigeria, some of us fought for it with all our lives. Many sacrificed their lives for the freedom of speech, movement and freedom of everything we enjoy today,” he said.

Recall that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, led a break out of PDP members, under the name of New PDP  in 2014 that joined CPC, AD, ANPP to form a coalition with the APC that brought President Buhari to power in 2015.
