NewsOnline Nigeria reports Former France striker Thierry Henry has hailed Arsenal’s squad depth this season, saying it gives them a “big chance” of winning major trophies.

Henry made the comments on CBS Sports after the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The win means Mikel Arteta’s side have now secured back-to-back victories in the competition.

Arsenal also cut the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to two points with a 2-1 win at Newcastle last weekend.

Henry told CBS Sports, “That’s what a team is about. During a season you need your bench to step up when it matters. When I say bail you out, it’s not really bail you out, it’s about having players who can come on, make a difference and change the game when called.

“That’s why I think Arsenal have a big chance to win trophies this year, because their bench can make the difference.”
