NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Big Brother Naija star Phyna has finally spoken out about the viral video showing her involved in a physical altercation with a friend at an Abuja hotel.
The reality TV personality addressed the incident after footage of the heated exchange circulated widely on social media.
Responding to the public backlash, Phyna took to her Instagram story to reveal that the individual she fought with had been hospitalized.
She explained that the altercation stemmed from a dispute with a close friend who allegedly stole from her and was later caught in the act.
While addressing the incident and threatening legal action, Phyna clarified her side of the story, stating:
“The video making rounds was taken after the fight. I was actually heading to the station when the girl in question brought touts to the hotel. She’s been stealing from me repeatedly.
She stole again yesterday and got caught. While we were trying to sort it out, it escalated into a fight. Check that door— even the girl, blood full. Make una pray make she survive. I’m the last person my fellow girl will bring to the ground at that reception. The only people with me were just three; every other person there were touts she called in.
That video— I was dragged down by the touts she brought, and she was on me. Well, when she wakes up, she’ll go chill in prison. She’s currently in the hospital. Me, I dey hotel dey chill.”
