Soludo has taunted Peter Obi and declared Labour Party and ADC ‘dead’ after Anambra By-Election Defeat.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has taken a swipe at former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following the outcome of Saturday’s by-elections in the state.

Speaking on Sunday during a victory celebration in Nanka, Soludo said the results clearly showed that the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are “dead” and “non-existent” in Anambra.

“ADC does not exist in Anambra. We showed it yesterday, Saturday. Labour Party is dead,” Soludo declared.

The governor mocked Obi, who had thrown his weight behind ADC candidates in the election, stressing that the opposition coalition failed woefully despite its attempt to test its popularity at the polls.

According to Soludo, the people overwhelmingly reaffirmed their support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which secured more than 75% of the votes.

“APGA is our movement,” he added.

The development comes as Obi and his allies continue to push for a stronger opposition bloc ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
